1. These terms and conditions are made between Blitz Recruitment herein after called "The
Company" (which expression shall include all of its associated companies, subsidiaries and ![]()
business names) and the prospective employer (The Client). The Client is further defined as any person or organisation that engages the services of The Company. The interviewing or ![]()
appointment of a candidate introduced by The Company shall be deemed to be an acceptance of these terms and conditions. These terms supersede any previous terms and conditions and apply from 24rd of May 2006 until further notice. No change whatsoever to these terms will be deemed acceptable unless expressly authorised in writing and signed by a director of the company.![]()

2. The term "introduction" means the presentation of a candidate. Engagement (or appointment) means the offer and acceptance of a position whether oral or written under a contract of services, temporary or permanent. An introduction is not exclusive to a specific job. In the event that an offer which has been accepted by the candidate is withdrawn by The Client, prior to the ![]()

commencement of work The Client agrees to pay full fees as set out in Section 5 hereunder.
3. Candid
ate details are sent on the express understanding that they are to be treated in th
e
strictest confidence by The Client. The Client undertakes not to give details to a third party or
make any contact with the candidate without the prior written permission of The Company.
4. GUARANTEE PERIOD FOR PERMANENT PLACEMENTS![]()
In the event of employment being terminated by either party for any reason other than redundancy within 1 week of the commencement date of employment, The Company will endeavour to provide a replacement candidate for that position at no additional cost or offer a 100% refund of the agreed fee. This guarantee period does not apply to temporary or contract engagements or appointments. This guarantee applies to all permanent placements, but only where payment terms have been met in full and where the dismissal is justified or if the candidate has left of his/her own volition. The Client accepts that any offer of a replacement candidate is expressly limited to the position vacated by the candidate and that this offer is not transferable to any other position the The Client may be seeking candidates for. This guarantee cannot be offset in any way against fees due to The Company for any other work completed by The Company for The Client. The Client also accepts that The Company will not commence the search to find a
replacement candidate while a fee or any part of a fee for that placement is unpaid.![]()
5. FEES![]()
Fees are charged by The Company and are payable by The Client for the introduction of a candidate, leading to the engagement or appointment of that candidate and are as follows:
PERMANENT PLACEMENT FEES
Permanent placement fees are quoted on a case to case basis and generally vary between €240 and €1250 depending on availability, required qualifications and experience.
CONTRACT/TEMPORARY PLACEMENT FEES
In the case of contract and temporary appointments fees are quoted as an hourly or daily rate. If a candidate on temporary engagement to The Client or any subsidiary or associated company of The Client is made permanent or is re-employed by The Client, at any time within twelve months of the termination of the original temporary assignment, full permanent or temporary fees will become payable in addition to any fees already paid. This fee is €1250 unless agreed otherwise.
6. PAYMENT TERMS
(i) Permanent Placement Fees. Invoices are due for payment within 30 days of the invoice date.
(ii) Temporary/Contract placement fees become payable within 7 days from invoice date.
7. The Client agrees to notify The Company immediately on engaging or appointing a person introduced by The Company and of relevant terms and contract, and shall pay the fee calculated in accordance with the fees listed herein. If a candidate is not immediately engaged or appointed as a result of an introduction by The Company to The Client, but is subsequently appointed by The Client or any subsidiary or associated company or by any other employer through an
introduction made by The Client within twelve months of The Company's introduction, the full placement fee immediately shall become payable by The Client to The Company.![]()

8. The service provided to The Client is one of introduction and while The Company shall endeavour to ensure the suitability of any applicant and to maintain standards of service, The Company makes no warranty express or implied as to the suitability of any applicant, their skills, qualifications and general integrity, regardless of the contents and any written representatives made to The Client by The Company.![]()
9. Applicants introduced to The Clients are carefully selected for the position to be filled. The Company does take up references but The Client should take steps to obtain confirmation of an applicant's necessary skills, qualifications and general integrity. The Company can accept no liability for any loss or damage to property or for any other loss, including without prejudice to the generality of the forgoing, loss of profits, or for any injury to persons arising directly or indirectly from any act or omission of any applicant introduced by The Company, even if such act or omission is negligent or fraudulent or reveals dishonesty.![]()
10. A candidate on temporary engagement to a Client is deemed to be under the direction and control of The Client and The Client agrees to be responsible for all acts, errors and omissions, be they willful or negligent on the part of the candidate as they would be for their own staff, to provide all necessary insurance cover and to comply will all legal requirements and entitlements applicable to the candidate. The Company is not liable for any loss, damage or delay however caused by the candidate notwithstanding any representations made by The Company to The Client.![]()
11. HRM Consulting Fees for consultancy projects are quoted following an initial assessment of client requirements. Fees for psychometric or other assessment are charged separately and per candidate assessed. Advertisement expenses will be charged separately and will be agreed in advance.![]()
